Piazza Navona also plays a role in Dan Brown’s infamous Angels and Demons. The fountain of the Four Rivers in the centre of the Piazza is the one where the narrator is almost killed by drowning. Mr. Brown cannot have visited the Piazza, otherwise he would have known that the police are always stationed there, not to mention the crowds of tourists always mulling about.
